YADA YADA HI DHARMASYA...

Struggle is still there, but some way or the other, my wait for something really positive to happen, finally came to an end. At least some rays of progressive hope started forming a shape. Demand for rights is always righteous. If we are honest in our duties and actions, we don’t mind fighting against the evils till the end…

According to the Hindu mythology, the most important religious scripture, The Bhagwad Gita contains divine words emanating from the lips of The God Incarnate – LORD SHRI KRISHNA addressed to his ardent devotee ARJUNA on the battle field of Kurukshetra. Its glory and beauty is really infinite and beyond words.

As a scripture, The Gita reveals the deep rooted secrets, scientific principles, laws of Mother Nature and depicts the various aspects of practical or realistic ways of human life. The philosophy behind it is so simple and elegant that one can easily understand with rapt attention, but the thoughts are so deep that none can arrive at their end even after constant study through out a life-time. Everyday, they exhibit new facets of Truth and hence The Gita remains eternally fresh, new and educative.

It is said that it would be highly beneficial if one reads Gita again and again and possibly experience it for oneself. Because it captures the essence of timeless wisdom. Being a strong believer of doer ship, I consider Bhagwad Gita as an important guide, which let me live my life according to its true value knowing each onus of life better and act accordingly. At times its valuable teachings help in facing the challenges of life with patience, confidence and courage.

Having kept myself years in an impression of doing duty without aspiring for anything in return, I used to confine myself in trying to do good as much as I can leaving rest to The Almighty. But I found, somewhere I was lacking the vision of the other side. Couple of incidents of life in the recent past opened my eyes and made me understand the practicality of this wonderful discourse of God, where he has said,

"Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya
Glanirva Bhavathi Bharatha,
Abhyuthanam Adharmaysya
Tadatmanam Srijami Aham".

"Praritranaya Sadhunam
Vinashaya Cha Dushkritam
Dharamasansthapnaya
Sambhavami Yuge-Yuge."

O descendant of Bharat! Whenever there is decline of righteousness and a prominent unrighteousness is on the ascendant, then I body myself forth.
For the protection of the virtuous, for the extirpation of evil-doers, and re-establishing Dharma (righteousness) on a firm footing, I advent myself age after age.
Not only that, The God Incarnation approached the entire mankind to follow his path in every possible way.

In fact, it’s a great realization. The point is to look at the root of any action. In order to complete our duty, we should not only do the good, but also fight against that which is evil, for the sake of truth. Because sometimes the human society, its values & validity become the means of personal aggrandisement, which is purely unjust and needed to be elucidated in relation to the ultimate reality, which is the ultimate goal of life and could never be reached without taking a definite stand.

On an end note, we must not wait forever for the saviour to set things right for us. Following the path of God with one pointed mind each one of us has to preach the most profound gospel of Gita, search for the righteousness to restore within and radiate the goodness around us, so that it spreads and engulfs all and there by helps in establishing the True Religion of Humanity…
