RIP BABY MAHI!!!

What type of life we are leading?
In which set of system we are living?
Why this society is full of inhumanitarian corruptions?
Isn't it the height of shame for a nation???

It was a fall............................
A really big fall of the life of
An innocent noble soul-
For an unreasonable death's call...

Again a tragic end of
Another victim of indifference-
Which could have been prevented,
If swifter action would have been implemented...

It's a question of
Carelessness and accountability-
Siginalling towards
Collective responsibility..................

Till how long shall we wait to see-
The violation of legal norms have been stopped?
OR
After such bleak struggles------
How many baby MAHIs
Shall we send to their ultimate abode???

Meri Maa

Love you Maa, A Very Happy Mother's Day!!!
I know, not a single day can define your dignity, when each moment of every passing day reminds me of your very existence in my life……
It’s just a message of gratitude to your greatness- unparalleled and unmatched, which I could realise after so long, when I blessed with my son……
But still I think, I don’t know all those things, what you have done for me……

 Meri Maa
Mujhe pyaar hai apni is zindagi se-
Jise meri Maa ne mujhe diaa hogaa,
mujhe iss duniyaa mein
laane kaa zariaa bankar
na jaane usne
kitnaa kasht sahaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apne iss astitva se-
jise banaane mein meri Maa ne
zindagi ke kitne anmol pal
nyochhaavar kiyaa hogaa,
na jaane kitne vyast din
aur jagrat raatein bitaayaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apni in aankhon se-
jisne sabse pahale
Maa kaa darshan karne ke liye
vyaakul hua hogaa,
uski pyaari si surat ki ek jhalak se
khushi se chamak uthaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apne in hothon se-
jo Maa ke komal haath ke
sparsh se santushti se
muskaraayaa hogaa,
na jaane kab use achaanak se
Maa kah kar bulaayaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apni iss jihvaa se-
na jaane issne
Maa ke bakshya se
kitne madhur amrit
paan kiyaa hogaa,
aur jeene kaa aadhaar paayaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apne in pairon se-
jinhen mazboot karne ke liye meri Maa ne
kitne pyaar se maalish kiyaa hogaa,
aur zindagi mein
satmarg mein chalne kaa
paavan mantra diyaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apni in sabhi ungliyon se-
na jaane Maa ne mujhe
kaunsi ungli pakad kar

girne se bachaayaa hoga,
aur ladkhadaate pairon se
chalnaa sikhaayaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apne in haathon se-
na jaane Maa ne kabhi mujhe inse
pyaar se aalingan karna
sikhaayaa hogaa,
inse satkarm karne kaa bhi zaroor
salaah diyaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apne in kaano se-
na jaane Maa ne mujhe
nidra-anidra, khushi-gum
vyast tathaa khaali samay mein
sukoon ki neend sone ke liye
kitni loriyaan sunaayaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apni iss naak se-
jise Maa ne apne
garbh mein hi apni saans se
saans lenaa sikhaaya hogaa,
zindagi mein jeene kaa
raah dikhaayaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apne in sanskaaron se-
na jaane Maa ne meri
apni mamtaa ki chhaanv mein
kitne pyaar se inhe
sanjoyaa aur sanvaaraa hogaa,
zindagi ki gahari sachchaaee bataaayaa hogaa…..

Chir vandini,
meri pyaari janani!
usko nahin dekha kabhi maine
par uski zaroorat kya hogi?
Ai Maa! Teri soorat se alag
Bhagwaan ki moorat kya hogi???

Let TRUTH Prevail...

TRUTH at length
Must inevitably prevail,
But what is TRUTH?
What's its level?
High or Deep?
Does it inherit But and If?

TRUTH is Self-effulgent,
And stands on its own Evidence.
It's here all the time,
Unborn and Undying .
It's Universal
As well as Eternal
In this hell of a world.

If one can bring
A little Joy and Peace even
For a day into the heart
Of a single person
That much is called TRUTH alone.

But can TRUTH be Sustained?
Refrained and Maintained?
Can the words come out
From the depth of it?
Can the clear stream of reasons
Show it light?

Shall our mind be
TRUTHful forever?
Shall we live and re-live
In TRUTH's favour?
Is it easy to get
The right answer?
NO.....

 But it doesn't matter,
Let's move further...
It's neither Close, nor Open
But an Awareness Unbroken
Needs to be touched,
Just like A Holistic Cause
 Meant to be Unveiled,
Let TRUTH prevail....

R I P BABIES!!!

"A FEMALE CHILD IS NATION'S PRIDE......."

I'm running out of time, being very busy these days, but very happy and enjoying each moment thoroughly. Because my parents are around..... I have got the oppurtunity of spending some quality time with them by taking their care & making them happy........ I believe a daughter always wants to care for her parents whereas a son thinks, he should care for them.
We four sisters are very fortunate to get such parents like them, who are loving, caring as well as considerate & very understanding. They never feel bad for not being blessed with a son. For them, their daughters are their pride..........
Sometimes, I say sorry to myself for not being blessed with a daughter, because-
'A baby girl...... One of the most beautiful miracles in life, one of the greatest joys we can ever know, & one of the reasons why there is extra sunshine, laughter & happiness in our world today.............'
But it's the height..... perhaps the end of living & the beginning of survival of the female in this brutal world of inhuman activities, where the father becomes the killer of the infant daughter, who thinks his child is his live property & acts as the author of the child's being, who has every right over his creation......... there he's mistaken. He forgets that, he is merely an instrument of God to bring life onto the Earth. He is not the owner of the child. The child is rather the destiny's child, a soul meant to grow on the Earth into a fullness of her being..........

R I P  BABY FALAK AND BABY AFREEN!!!

First FALAK, then AFREEN- these two cases have shown us the mirror about the gender discrimination..........
Why can't men follow the good teachings- like one of Lord Sri Krishna's teachings in Bhagawad Gita- 'I look upon all creatures equally, none are less dear to me and none more dear.......'
Then, why does man make this discrimination & act so mercillessly???

When three-month-old Baby Afreen, allegedly battered and abused by her father for being born as a girl, and finally lost her battle of survival at a hospital at Bengaluru after suffering a cardiac arrest, a wave of overwhelming response in form of anger as well as sorrow felt throughout at the pointless loss. It's appeared as an urgent lesson for the Government and the so-called civil society. It's a sensitive story of death of an innocent female infant by a dowry-crazed father desiring a male child, which indicates a very nasty deep-rooted problem that needs to take very determined efforts to uproot. It tells about the indignified state of our society. Until and unless the abusive father is termed as a killer with the charge of murder and sent to the gallows, the violence against the girl child will keep on continuing............
We need to focus on strong deterrence as well as awareness against gender bias, that could ensure criminals shy away from such heinus crimes. It's a very long war- but must be fought. We cannot afford losing innocent FALAKs & AFREENs anymore!!!

what is LIFE???

    Is it.......
An exquisite song of nature,
A fathomless endeavour,
A qualm of strange behaviour,
OR
A collection of infinite wonders,
Which revealed to us in exact measure???

    Is it.......
A manifold phenomenon,
A desire of gratification,
A pack of nostalgic emotions,
  OR
A bunch of lofty suggestions,
Which ensures the keenness of our vision???

    Is it.......
A right of special delight to aspire,
A dutiful ardent prayer,
A sketch of a beautiful rainbow so far,
  OR
A garden of lovely fragrant flowers,
Which spread pliancy and freshness in the air???

    Is it.......
An optimistic movement,
A reminiscence deep and significant,
An accomodating adjustment,
  OR
A descent of divine love into the inconscient,
    Which makes us piously confident???

    Is it.......
A discovery of evolution,
An articulated mission,
A series of never-ending punctuations,
  OR
A meaningful plan of actions,
Which give life, a clear definition???

Celebrating Womanhood!!!

“The True aim of life is to find the Divine’s presence deep inside oneself and to surrender to It so that It takes the lead of the life, all the feelings and all the actions of the body.
This gives true and luminous aim to existence”. -The Mother

On last Sunday, after a restful and relaxing afternoon, I started reading the editorial of a weekly magazine…. This time, I found it very different with an unmatched essence in it and requested my husband to go through it. After he finished, I asked him whether he liked it or not…… he said, ‘yea!’ Then I asked him, which part he liked the most…. He replied, where the editor had explained about the Indian values………….  I asked nothing else??? You  didn’t like the portion, where the editor had mentioned himself as fortunate enough to get a wife, who is respectful as a woman, who enjoys being a wife and a mother, not because she is incompetent to pursue a career, but because she derives greater satisfaction from these roles…..?  Then my husband simply replied, “ME TOO! Do you think, I am less fortunate than him?”
What a statement!!! Just unbelievable…. It filled my eyes with tears and heart with pride as a life partner. Then my mind started revealing life’s memorable chapters, One after another….

When a son writes, ‘My Mother – I will never know of all the things she has done for me, nurturing, nourishing, cherishing me ….. I pray that all the children get a mother like mine; but not mine, because she is only mine......
’

When you are a proud daughter of a caring father and a loving mother ….
‘For you, it’s the most respectable figure, he is non-other than your Father. Very open and fair, he is your ideal, with whom, you always dare to share without any care’.
‘Years have passed, but when she is around, you are still a baby girl, without a care in the world. She is non-other than your loving Maa’.
Brought you up as you are their PRIDE, giving a lot of independence and confidence, with high moral values and education, stood by your side as pillars of support and strength with great conviction…….

When your sisters say, ‘she is bold, she does scold, but how much she loves us, we don’t know!!! You are our Alibi, our punching bag, our Di……’

When you feel your grand parents’ presence everywhere, whose blessings are always there, even when they are not with you anymore…...’

When your uncles, aunts and cousins care for you, wish you, miss you, come to see you and ask, how are you?…….

Your parents-in-law, who have gifted your soul mate to you, so their position is the highest in the world for you.
When your father-in-law calls you his daughter, belongingness becomes powerful, and in-law word takes a back seat, for ever……
When your mother-in-law loves you as a mother, it brings pleasures in life for sure...

When your brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law need your suggestions and share their feelings with you, rather than sharing with their brother…….

When your nieces and nephews respect you as a motherly figure, share their secrets with you without any hesitation and fear, and the little baby niece does not call you Maasi, but calls you Mamma Dear…...

When your friends always share with you their joys and sorrows, consider you as a ‘friend-in-need is a friend-indeed’ and stand there with you for ever and ever……..

When your teachers remember you, feel proud of you, give examples of you……

When your ex-students regard you, recognise you, consider you as their Mom, rather than Ma’am…...

When your ex-boss and ex-colleagues still remember you, in regular contact with you, at times need your help and call you…...

When your neighbours trust you, show no formality with you, ask you openly to help them out, care for you and always there to help you out……..

When your domestic help appreciates your concern towards her, likes you, listens to you and anytime ready for you there……

When somebody unknown asks you, Are you a social worker? taking care of the trees outside the campus, serve standing very long in the Lungers, feeding the poor, seeing you always working for others…….

When some elderly outsider says, God bless you dear! while helping him/her crossing the busy road…….

And above all – when your man says, it’s my strong belief, I am a lucky man and a proud husband, getting a complete woman in my life, who has become the essence of my life………

Oh My God! I got everything…. Feel very good as a wanted being, whose existence is noteworthy, it’s more than enough for this lifetime…..

It’s the contentment, a feeling that envelopes you when you are truly thankful for what you have and are no longer seeking acquire more…..

Then the woman in me whispers in my ears, “Oh lady! Can you hear? I want to be reborn as a female again and again my dear! With the depth of passion in my eyes, with the wealth of caring in my heart having the strong resilience power!”

For me, it’s enough to celebrate womanhood for years…..

I know it very well; life is not a bed of soft roses, especially for a woman. It’s necessary for her to first love her own self, then respect her existence and then know her strength. Which would help her to live life with her own terms and conditions creating her own space with own belief and conviction.

Then only she can listen to Sita, Sati, Savitri and Draupadi in their own voices and see their independence and strength. Sita’s return to the earth and Sati’s immolation speak their expression of independence, whereas Savitri’s journey and Draupadi’s challenge show the strength of their determination.…..

As women it’s our duty to do something more concrete for ourselves, with an attitude:-
'WHYJUST TOUCH THE SKY, WHEN WE CAN RULE IT???'

Today the 8th of March, 2012; a rare day of celebrating shades of womanhood with the festival of colours. Why one day??? Everyday should be the woman’s day, as colourful as Holi, the colourful day...... Because, The woman is the most beautiful miracle of the Creator and the reason of extra sunshine, happiness and laughter....…..

With gentle care, This Eternal Uniqueness of HER’s will grow More and More and More………………..

"Maa!!!"

21.02.2012

“The whole of our life should be a prayer offered to the divine.”  -The Mother

“21 years………. Not a day, not a moment…… have I been without you & yet miss you…… you are here and not here…..”
The above soulful message of a grieved son to his beloved mother on her death anniversary…..
is the main source of my blog as a tribute to Motherhood!!!

MOTHER, the most beautiful word in the lips of mankind. I think my life began with waking up & loving my mother’s  face. No influence is so powerful as that of her. She is the bank where I deposit all my wounds & worries.

Perhaps, The Mother is the most precious possession of the nation & a miracle of  God’s creation. God couldn't be everywhere & therefore he made mothers. That’s why mother reflects God’s loving presence on earth. She is the loving angel, in her arms we find warmth and love which can never be found elsewhere.

A Mother, words are less to describe her divine persona!
“AS GREAT AS TO BE WORSHIPED FOR…..”
A Child, a special gift of a proud mother to the earth!
“AS PRECIOUS AS TO BE PRAYED FOR....."
In both the ways a Mother is always great!

“Who is your mother? I am she.
Who is my child? You are he\she.
Day dawns the same for you and me!”
It speaks about the eternal  beauty of a mother-child relationship....

Of all the rights of women the greatest is to be a mother. Because the mother is the one to bring lives to the earth. She always connects to her child much before his\her birth. As the child is not only a part of her body, but also an important part of her soul. She therefore loves her child most divinely. She laughs her child’s laughter, sheds his tears, returns his love & braves his fears.

Maa! Pehle aansu aate the,
aur tu yaad aati thi.
Aaj tu yaad aati hai aur,
phir aansu aate hain!
(All love begins and ends there)

Jab bhi kashti meri,
sailab mein aa jaati hai,
Maa! Tu dua karti hui,
khwaab mein aa jaati hai.
(there is no substitute of the mother)

Kya seerat kya surat thi,
Maa! manavta ki murat thi,
paaon chhue aur kaam hue,
Maa! Tu ek paavan mahurat thi.
(the future of the child is always the work of the mother)

Maa!
Meri khwahish hai ki phirse,
main farishta ban jaaun,
tujhse is tarah lipat jaun,
ki phir main bachcha ho jaun,
(A mother’s arms are made of tenderness and children sleep soundly in them)

Maa!!! The word itself is magnifying. It has the presence of abundant divine love and affection in  it. It speaks about the dignified mothers like Maa Yashoda, who is respected more than Devaki as a mother for her unconditional love for Lord Shri Krishna. So as the pure love of Radha Maata for the Great Karna.

In our Indian culture we respect……
The Mother Land (Matri Bhoomi) for giving us identity as a mother,                                               The Mother Tongue (Matri Bhaasha) for enabling us to think and express as a mother,
The Earth (Dharti Maa) for providing us with shelter as a mother,                                                     The Rivers (Nadi Maata) for quenching our thirst as a mother,
The cows ( Go Maata) for providing food as a mother,
The Tulsi (Maa Tulsi) for providing us medicines as a mother.
They appear as the different images of A Mother.
As a whole The Nature (Prakriti) Is considered as The Divine Mother.

The spiritual mother, The Mother and the angel of peace and service to the distress, Mother Teresa are shining examples of taking motherhood to a different level by leading us from untruth to truth, from darkness to light and from death to immortality………

                                                   Jo masti aankhon mein hai
                                                      madiralay mein nahin,

                                                          Ameeri dil ki koi
                                                      maahaalay mein nahin,

                                                     Sheetalta paane ke liye
                                                  kahaan bhatakta hai maanav?

Jo maa ke god mein  hai
                                                  woh Himalaya mein nahin.....
