EID MUBARAK!!!

This morning my domestic help entered inside with a smiling face saying, ‘’Didi, aaj niche Bhandara laga hai.’’
I asked,” Navaratri days are just over, why this Bhandara then?”
She replied innocently, “Aaj Eid hai na, isliye Bhandara laga hoga…”

What an invaluable statement!

I was not sure about the reason behind the Bhandara, but was definitely amazed by the level of her thinking. I know she is not a part of the so called civilized, cultured, educated society, but possesses a higher vision, where she could see equality in all beings.  It gave me kind of such emotional pleasure which can’t be expressed in words…

Yeah! Today it’s Eid-ul-Zuha. The festive day of offering sacrifice. Quran believes that our prayer, our sacrifice, our life and our death are all for Allah, ‘The Lord of the Worlds’. A sacrifice is a gift of the product of our life. It maybe a gift of our time, a gift of our talent or a gift of our treasure. It lightens our mind and gives us a sense of peace and joy.  Thus a man, in truth, is himself a sacrifice…

If we see, we’ll find a strong message behind each and every festival celebrated all-over the world. I don’t know whether I am religious or not, but derive immense pleasure in celebrating different festivals irrespective of religions, cultures and places. Because each festival brightens the atmosphere, adds colours to life and relieves us from pressure by diverting our moods towards rejoice and merry-making.

To my understanding, the universal supreme power is always there as the driving force of the whole universe. We should respect that and believe in the oneness of God. This faith will make us the believer in one religion, that is – The True Universal Religion of Humanity, which advocates a philosophy of transforming the globe into one family, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”. Where we could consider all the faiths and the religions of the world as true and equal and are nothing but different path-ways leading to the Almighty and celebrate any festival with family and friends, enjoying to its fullest, which is the noble way of making life eventful. Because life itself is a grand celebration and we could promote it with a positive attitude and enjoy the joy of living…

Isn’t it???

When Life was all about....

Magar Mujhko Lauta Do bachpan Ka Sawan
Wo Kagaz Ki Kashti, wo Baarish Ka Paani.......

The soothing soulful melody of the legendary singer Jagjit Singh reaching the ears, catching the heart and taking the mind to the wonderful engraved memories of those past days....

Life is like a river, the flow that has  passed will never pass again. We can do nothing but to treasure the beautiful memories shared with the flow and cherish those throughout our life. The more old the memories, the more mesmerising they are, covering us with nostalgic emotions.

Those are the days of enjoying the life to its fullest,
When we have no idea about life....
When the only truth of life was carefree living....

Every morning observing Sunrise
from the hilltop,
Enjoying a long walk catching the Moon
And wondering why it too walks with us?
Gazing the twinkling Stars in the night-sky,
trying to count their uncountable numbers....

Playing on the sand dunes,
Climbing on the walls and trees,
Collecting stones and flowers,
Running behind butterflies and bees....

On hot afternoons
flying colourful kites,
As if cold mornings and evenings were
meant to take bicycle rides....

Making paper boats,
Whenever saw a rain shower
Jumping into the rain
to float them in its water....

Life has moved on
leaving far behind that chapter,
Which was all about
exploring and enjoying those thrills,
Without any cease and much more
& enhances the joy of living
spreading charm and pleasure in life forever....

HUMANITY, At a Glance…

It is said that, Humanity travels not from error to truth, but from truth to truth...
Is it so???

I am seriously searching the truth behind Humanity since that day…
Yeah, it was 15th August, 2012, our 66th Independence Day. That single incident broke all my pride & left me with tearful eyes of shameless emotions of inhumanity. I could do nothing but feel sorry for that poor chap, the fruit vendor, who was standing on the road side with his cart, full of fresh guavas to sell for earning his living for that particular day…

On our way back home after exploring & enjoying a terrific drive on the new Yamuna Express Way, when we reached the NOIDA- Greater NOIDA Express Way, despite the heat & humidity, a cart full of fresh green guavas on the road side delighted us & made us to stop there. It was a great attraction for most of the passer-bys to stop there to buy guavas. A young boy of around 17-18 years was the vendor. When I went to him, there was another gentle man with his daughter buying from him, I also asked him to weigh some for me. While he was weighing those on the scale, a police man came to him & took his scale threatening him not to allow him to stand & sell there. Then immediately the poor boy apologized & started moving away in a hurry leaving that place. I & the other gentle man requested the policeman to return him his scale & let him go. Then I started moving fast towards our car & when I was about to get in, I heard a strong shout saying, ‘’ Jaa, Ab Bech, Keise Amrud Bechtaa Hai…” I turned back & got shocked. What I saw? The policeman had chased the poor fellow, caught him & turned over his guava cart. All the guavas were rolling here & there on the road. I could not find any valid point for this act, where the poor vendor obeyed the order & readily left the place, but still he had to pay for it. Then I saw him picking up his empty cart, started pushing it & leaving the place with despair. I could clearly visualise his sorrow & feel his pain. By that time the policeman did his real job by ordering his assistant to collect all the guavas & keep those in his jeep. It was very very disturbing for me. I could not take that any more & quickly left that place.

It was not for the first time, I witnessed such incident, but my calculation says this time the vendor was innocent. Because there were some other sellers too, whom the police did not disturb. Why only this boy had been targeted? It created doubts in mind. He might be a new vendor, who was unaware of the illegal norms of paying percentage to the police. Alas! Such a pity for a country man as well as for the country!

I don’t know exactly, but what ever might be the reason, it was clearly showing the picture of corruption. I don’t want to fall into controversies being judgmental, rather trying to address this issue just for the sake of Humanity feeling very sorry for the fruit vendor.
Is this the right way to execute law in our democratic India, where the police has the right to take such barbaric action against public, harass them by taking away their living & filling it’s own pocket?

I am trying a lot to draw a conclusion, but can not & also trying to forget the incident, but it’s too not possible on my part. My sensitivity doesn't allow me to do so. Because the whole episode was very confusing & disturbing. Since that day, I am desperately trying to search for the truth holding some queries in mind-
Is it called truth of living?
Why do people misuse power?
Is it true independence?
Are we true human beings?
Where is our compassion?
Where is Humanity?
Could we rise up some day to establish a better world here???

Being an optimist, it’s my trial of seeing the other perspective, which says, hope is still there. Because to my understanding, Humanity is all about the heart of compassion & the life of concern towards any living being. As human beings, we are the privileged possessors of God’s invaluable gift of Consciousness. Need of the hour is only to introspect ourselves, recognise our consciousness within & understand the right purpose of our existence on this Earth & act accordingly.
It will definitely lead us to live life perfectly harmonious, good & beautiful, happy & fully conscious.

RIP BABY MAHI!!!

What type of life we are leading?
In which set of system we are living?
Why this society is full of inhumanitarian corruptions?
Isn't it the height of shame for a nation???

It was a fall............................
A really big fall of the life of
An innocent noble soul-
For an unreasonable death's call...

Again a tragic end of
Another victim of indifference-
Which could have been prevented,
If swifter action would have been implemented...

It's a question of
Carelessness and accountability-
Siginalling towards
Collective responsibility..................

Till how long shall we wait to see-
The violation of legal norms have been stopped?
OR
After such bleak struggles------
How many baby MAHIs
Shall we send to their ultimate abode???

Meri Maa

Love you Maa, A Very Happy Mother's Day!!!
I know, not a single day can define your dignity, when each moment of every passing day reminds me of your very existence in my life……
It’s just a message of gratitude to your greatness- unparalleled and unmatched, which I could realise after so long, when I blessed with my son……
But still I think, I don’t know all those things, what you have done for me……

 Meri Maa
Mujhe pyaar hai apni is zindagi se-
Jise meri Maa ne mujhe diaa hogaa,
mujhe iss duniyaa mein
laane kaa zariaa bankar
na jaane usne
kitnaa kasht sahaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apne iss astitva se-
jise banaane mein meri Maa ne
zindagi ke kitne anmol pal
nyochhaavar kiyaa hogaa,
na jaane kitne vyast din
aur jagrat raatein bitaayaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apni in aankhon se-
jisne sabse pahale
Maa kaa darshan karne ke liye
vyaakul hua hogaa,
uski pyaari si surat ki ek jhalak se
khushi se chamak uthaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apne in hothon se-
jo Maa ke komal haath ke
sparsh se santushti se
muskaraayaa hogaa,
na jaane kab use achaanak se
Maa kah kar bulaayaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apni iss jihvaa se-
na jaane issne
Maa ke bakshya se
kitne madhur amrit
paan kiyaa hogaa,
aur jeene kaa aadhaar paayaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apne in pairon se-
jinhen mazboot karne ke liye meri Maa ne
kitne pyaar se maalish kiyaa hogaa,
aur zindagi mein
satmarg mein chalne kaa
paavan mantra diyaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apni in sabhi ungliyon se-
na jaane Maa ne mujhe
kaunsi ungli pakad kar

girne se bachaayaa hoga,
aur ladkhadaate pairon se
chalnaa sikhaayaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apne in haathon se-
na jaane Maa ne kabhi mujhe inse
pyaar se aalingan karna
sikhaayaa hogaa,
inse satkarm karne kaa bhi zaroor
salaah diyaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apne in kaano se-
na jaane Maa ne mujhe
nidra-anidra, khushi-gum
vyast tathaa khaali samay mein
sukoon ki neend sone ke liye
kitni loriyaan sunaayaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apni iss naak se-
jise Maa ne apne
garbh mein hi apni saans se
saans lenaa sikhaaya hogaa,
zindagi mein jeene kaa
raah dikhaayaa hogaa…..

Mujhe pyaar hai apne in sanskaaron se-
na jaane Maa ne meri
apni mamtaa ki chhaanv mein
kitne pyaar se inhe
sanjoyaa aur sanvaaraa hogaa,
zindagi ki gahari sachchaaee bataaayaa hogaa…..

Chir vandini,
meri pyaari janani!
usko nahin dekha kabhi maine
par uski zaroorat kya hogi?
Ai Maa! Teri soorat se alag
Bhagwaan ki moorat kya hogi???

Let TRUTH Prevail...

TRUTH at length
Must inevitably prevail,
But what is TRUTH?
What's its level?
High or Deep?
Does it inherit But and If?

TRUTH is Self-effulgent,
And stands on its own Evidence.
It's here all the time,
Unborn and Undying .
It's Universal
As well as Eternal
In this hell of a world.

If one can bring
A little Joy and Peace even
For a day into the heart
Of a single person
That much is called TRUTH alone.

But can TRUTH be Sustained?
Refrained and Maintained?
Can the words come out
From the depth of it?
Can the clear stream of reasons
Show it light?

Shall our mind be
TRUTHful forever?
Shall we live and re-live
In TRUTH's favour?
Is it easy to get
The right answer?
NO.....

 But it doesn't matter,
Let's move further...
It's neither Close, nor Open
But an Awareness Unbroken
Needs to be touched,
Just like A Holistic Cause
 Meant to be Unveiled,
Let TRUTH prevail....
