Listen to the moon

A sky above
so high so far
carries
the galaxy of
silvery stars
Spreaded
and scattered
Waiting
for the moon
that shines
them more
On a horizon
so close
yet too away
rises the
smiling Moon
And spreads
its beams
that hides
the dark
Lights the path
for an errand
it starts
The night
is still
Here's a
complete silence
on earth
Benevolent moon
on its way
To reach
the door
To touch
the floor
For a call
to make
For a myth
to break
To tell
the untold
On every occasion
the same
tranquility
it holds
Tests patience
Spreads
peace essence
on mankind
Teaches oneness
Equal before
it every being
everything
Even its
mere look
imports fortune
Believes one
Believe all
Let's listen
to the moon
Let the
heart hold
its belief
Stand firm
for the
purpose
Take a turn
towards
benediction
for a
definite cause...

Home Visit

It was a lovely leisurely weekend forenoon for me when husband decided to take the responsibility to amaze us with some self made scrumptious odia delicacies in lunch...
Then I got enough time to restart my expression that was little done last night, when I decided to start after Maa's call - that made me nostalgic. Home visit is more than a year now. Hence the missingness. And that compelled me to revisit the good old days through the wonderful memory lane...
Once done, I asked my poet son to go through it. After having a look he said, Mom, plz stop writing poetry in English. Then I was quite sure of some major flaws to be critically pointed out by him and with a low voice (that I usually never do while talking to him) asked, Is it that bad? Then he said, no Mom, I am seriously thinking, अब मेरा क्या होगा??? Then he had a big laugh, hugged me and said, Do publish it in "straight from heart" ASAP...

Here it goes -

Home Visit

Let's stop for a while,
Take a break
And hear
The barren land's,
The dusky sky's
So fascinating calls
See, how excited
Are they -
A new memory lane,
How they have made
This is the way -
They invite
Aren't we eager
For that
Long awaited meet?
Let's have a home visit
Let's go and see
How are the
Lovely butterflies,
How are the beetles
And hovering bees
Let's bring
The craze back,
Let's check -
Whether our colourful kites
Are thrown orphan
Or still taken care of,
Does the wind
fly them high or not
Let's find our
Handmade Paperboats
Does the rain water
Ask them to float
On its flow or not
Let's go to
Our paradise
The then
Neighbours envy
Owner's pride
Our very own
playing fields
Are they still
That open
Or became
Victims of Urbanisation
Let's miss
Let's remember
Let's relive those days
Of enormous wonders
Let's have a
Home visit
Let's remake
The old life altogether
Anew, afresh
To regain, to retain
More joy, more happiness,
And more laughter...

Am I Wrong???

There's nihilness
All around -
Up and down,
Left and right
Am I wrong
If I say -
This is my life,
My days,
My nights...

If I draw
A night sky
Somewhere dark,
Somewhere grey,
Moonlight -
Perhaps my life
Has never seen,
Hence a long wait
It has been...

My beautiful garden
Flower-less,
Yet forever green
How wonderful
Would it be
If I paint the
Beauty of flowers
Atleast in my
Sleepless dreams...

I hear
The singing bird
It's not as sweet as
Last summer
It flies, it chirps
Still I miss the wonder
As if its heart holds
Unmeasured pain,
Not pleasure...

It is true
Life has no mercy
If it's there -
How hard
Could I try,
How far
Could I go,
Why can't I find?
Why can't I see??

Let's Remember Him...

Where are we?
Where are we now, dear friends,
In the Maha Sabha that shapes as history,
The call of heartbeats of Indian people,
People ask us, people ask us:
Oh! Parliamentarians, the sculptors of Mother India,
Lead us unto light, enrich our lives.
Your righteous toil is our guiding light,
If you work hard, we all can prosper.
Like king, so the people,
Nurture great thoughts, rise up in actions,
May righteous methods be your guide;
May you all prosper ever with Almighty's grace.

This is the poem 'Where Are We'? written and presented as a gentle exhortation from the people's President of India to the country's representatives in the beginning during his customary address to both the Houses of Parliament to herald in the new session on the morning of 25th February 2005...

Yes, it's about the eloquence of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, A Life extraordinarily incredible and remarkably so special that infected all those who came in touch with it, where new chapters of Presidency were being written almost everyday and made it noteworthy for the initiatives, decisions and warmth it brought to the highest office in the land...

SEE THE FLOWER, HOW FREELY IT GIVES OF ITS PERFUME AND HONEY.
BUT WHEN ITS WORK IS DONE, IT FALLS AWAY QUIETLY.
- Bhagavad Gita

About exactly a year back thus a glorious era ended with the quiet exit of its Godly Leader...
The nation lost its most respected Thinker, Visionary & Statesman...

Our very own Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is no more, but his profound inspirational life has left behind the legacy of inexhaustible divinity, extraordinary determination, courage, perseverance and excellence for the nation to reflect on and take his journey beyond.

Let's begin with making his aspiring Vision 2020 - India, "A Developed Nation" to a great success as an honest tribute...

Konark - Salutation to The Immortals!

Got inspired by this beautiful  picture taken and shared by my friend Madhu Gupta on her way to Konark from Bhubaneswar in her Odisha trip around a couple of years  ago. The life of people of rural lndia always attracts her attention and so as mine... So I decided to give an expression to her awesome capture.
But I am really very sorry Madhu that I can't stop myself from expressing it in my mother tongue Odia as the deep inscribed memories of my knowledge on Konark since childhood compelled me to see the women in the picture in a different perspective as the women of  the sculptors who were detached from their men, who were away from home, got busy building Konark temple for twelve long years by the order of the king and the sacrifice of immortal Dharmapada (Dharama) never to be forgotten...

Srikrishna: Ati sundar Barnana!

Bibhushri: Thanks and happy that you liked it 😊

Aurosmita: Bibhu didi.. bahut sundar heichi tuma kabita. Really praiseworthy... so beautifully described about konark....

Bibhushri: Thank you so much 😊

Indira: Beauty needs no language.

Bibhushri: You are absolutely right aunty. Every language does have its own divine beauty.  We need to inherit a particular language, its words, rhythms and culture to add our imagination to it... 😊

Jailatha: Translation please..

Bibhushri: Sure, whenever we two sit together in an absolutely recreational mood, i promise to translate it for you bit by bit... 😊

Jailatha: Shall have to make it soon !!😊

Bibhushri: Yup...😊

Jailatha: Wanna enjoy the strokes of your poem !!

Bibhushri: The preface says it all Jaya...
It's nothing but an expression of my empathy towards the sacrificing lives of the unrecognised real makers and their families of the great heritage Konark. Whenever I visit such sites, I think about the hardships of the immortal makers more than the monuments... who have never get their dues in return... And this thought hurts very badly...
It's a salutation to their greatness, who had given lives to the nonliving stones leaving their dear families behind
and never to be forgotten the threat of the king, who is known as the so-called maker to end their lives if they couldn't finish it on given time...
and Dharmapada, the 16 years old son of Bishu Maharana (the chief sculptor) how became the saviour and sacrificed his own life just to save the lives of the 1200 sculptors...
All these things make me emotional...
The thing disturbs most is when history recognises the kings etc as the great makers of such monuments. Sorry to say, they might be the owners but definitely not the makers for me at least...

Jailatha: Similar sentiments rise when you read about the atrocities of  ShahJahan while biulding the Taj. Perhaps that's the reason the beauty of Taj looks faded to my  eyes..

Bibhushri: Exactly...
That's why I too can't see beauty in Tajmahal...

Bignyashri: Just awesome!

Bibhushri: Thanks dear 😊

Madhu: My pleasure Bibhu that this picture of mine inspired you....nothing can be expressed better than in the language of your thoughts.... please try to translate it in Hindi or English for us whenever you feel like  😊

Bibhushri: Sure dear...
Thank you so much for your kind words😊

Fathers are awesome! 👌

A world class gift any father can give to his children by unconditionally loving their darling mother till eternity...
And you very well exemplify this BAPA (father)
I am the most blessed being along with my all three sisters, whom God has been kind enough to confer the most pious soul as the guardian angel, our loving and lovable BAPA,
Who is the endless source of learning, life making, thorough living,
Whom no thick or thin ever dare to touch or hit,
Who is the simplest and kindest person in every room he is in...
While I try to see the beginning and ending of any goodness in the world, it seems they are accumulated at one point, where your presence exists and I really mean it BAPA...
Whenever I think of myself deeply with all compassion, with all passion, I could consistently hear the soul saying, "I wish to be like my BAPA..."

My tribute cannot complete if I pay tribute only to the law of embracing nature. Because the law of the land also has been gracious enough to offer me another father too and that's you dear BAPA (father-in-law)
Who has accepted me not only in his home, but also in his heart with all amicable gestures,
Whose child like innocence always amazes me and attracts me more closer,
Who has never ever left behind helping me discover myself like my own father...

Here I confide, I need both my BAPA's bless filled hands on my head till the end...

Last but not the least, I cannot ignore the dotted father Srikrishna on this special day,
Whom I come across everyday and find his dedication at its top,
Who never leaves a single stone unturned on the way of his child's upbringing since the very first day of his new birth as a father,
Whom his son Shreyas considers as the best PAPA in the world...

I can do nothing much but saluting the ethereal presence of all the fathers, that's very much needed every moment for a substantial existence of any civilization, any race...

Thank you all for being YOU, the awesome FATHERS... 😊

VISTAGIRI - Let's Re-live Bachpan...

Let's search for the box
Allover once again
Where childhood is left
Where cornerstone of
smiles and joys,
fun and frolics -
Everything is kept...

No matter how large the key
No matter how hard it be
Let's get it anyhow -
We shall scatter the
smiles and joys to play,
Spread the fun and frolics anyway
For many many a day
On every nook and corner,
On every Vista door...

Let's do VISTAGIRI once more
With body, mind and soul
Then folding and holding
We fill the enchantment
And pack the trend
In our very core
And enhance the joy of living
Ever and Ever and Ever...
