"Maa!!!"

21.02.2012

“The whole of our life should be a prayer offered to the divine.”  -The Mother

“21 years………. Not a day, not a moment…… have I been without you & yet miss you…… you are here and not here…..”
The above soulful message of a grieved son to his beloved mother on her death anniversary…..
is the main source of my blog as a tribute to Motherhood!!!

MOTHER, the most beautiful word in the lips of mankind. I think my life began with waking up & loving my mother’s  face. No influence is so powerful as that of her. She is the bank where I deposit all my wounds & worries.

Perhaps, The Mother is the most precious possession of the nation & a miracle of  God’s creation. God couldn't be everywhere & therefore he made mothers. That’s why mother reflects God’s loving presence on earth. She is the loving angel, in her arms we find warmth and love which can never be found elsewhere.

A Mother, words are less to describe her divine persona!
“AS GREAT AS TO BE WORSHIPED FOR…..”
A Child, a special gift of a proud mother to the earth!
“AS PRECIOUS AS TO BE PRAYED FOR....."
In both the ways a Mother is always great!

“Who is your mother? I am she.
Who is my child? You are he\she.
Day dawns the same for you and me!”
It speaks about the eternal  beauty of a mother-child relationship....

Of all the rights of women the greatest is to be a mother. Because the mother is the one to bring lives to the earth. She always connects to her child much before his\her birth. As the child is not only a part of her body, but also an important part of her soul. She therefore loves her child most divinely. She laughs her child’s laughter, sheds his tears, returns his love & braves his fears.

Maa! Pehle aansu aate the,
aur tu yaad aati thi.
Aaj tu yaad aati hai aur,
phir aansu aate hain!
(All love begins and ends there)

Jab bhi kashti meri,
sailab mein aa jaati hai,
Maa! Tu dua karti hui,
khwaab mein aa jaati hai.
(there is no substitute of the mother)

Kya seerat kya surat thi,
Maa! manavta ki murat thi,
paaon chhue aur kaam hue,
Maa! Tu ek paavan mahurat thi.
(the future of the child is always the work of the mother)

Maa!
Meri khwahish hai ki phirse,
main farishta ban jaaun,
tujhse is tarah lipat jaun,
ki phir main bachcha ho jaun,
(A mother’s arms are made of tenderness and children sleep soundly in them)

Maa!!! The word itself is magnifying. It has the presence of abundant divine love and affection in  it. It speaks about the dignified mothers like Maa Yashoda, who is respected more than Devaki as a mother for her unconditional love for Lord Shri Krishna. So as the pure love of Radha Maata for the Great Karna.

In our Indian culture we respect……
The Mother Land (Matri Bhoomi) for giving us identity as a mother,                                               The Mother Tongue (Matri Bhaasha) for enabling us to think and express as a mother,
The Earth (Dharti Maa) for providing us with shelter as a mother,                                                     The Rivers (Nadi Maata) for quenching our thirst as a mother,
The cows ( Go Maata) for providing food as a mother,
The Tulsi (Maa Tulsi) for providing us medicines as a mother.
They appear as the different images of A Mother.
As a whole The Nature (Prakriti) Is considered as The Divine Mother.

The spiritual mother, The Mother and the angel of peace and service to the distress, Mother Teresa are shining examples of taking motherhood to a different level by leading us from untruth to truth, from darkness to light and from death to immortality………

                                                   Jo masti aankhon mein hai
                                                      madiralay mein nahin,

                                                          Ameeri dil ki koi
                                                      maahaalay mein nahin,

                                                     Sheetalta paane ke liye
                                                  kahaan bhatakta hai maanav?

Jo maa ke god mein  hai
                                                  woh Himalaya mein nahin.....

The 'Aah!' of Nature.... A True Vision!

‘To be interested in what one does, one should try to do it better and better’.
                                                                                                                  -The Mother
With this message of The Sweet Mother, I am back again to express myself. It’s a trial of penning down my thoughts in my mother tongue ODIA. Inspite of knowing the limitations of the language, I would prefer to present it in its original form rather than translating it… with a hope that it could atleast reach to some people who know ODIA  rather than lying in my diary.
Here’s a precap of the writing where I have tried to jot down a brief sketch of it in English. What is Nature? What is hidden within her?
-To perceive- in the animals, plants, growing life and even in stones………………….
-To understand- the hidden but vibrant energy, the infinite moods and expressions of Nature..............
It’s a trial of coming closer to her through rocks, trees, animals, birds, the sun, the moon, the rain, the wind and finally to have a clear vision of the hidden Goddess, the Divine Presence by visiting a place very close to nature with ethereal beauty.
It’s PANGOT-  A small paradise of nature lovers. A village with more resorts and less houses. Its just 15 km away from Nainital, where you can either lie soaking in the sun or do some vigorous walking in the dense oak and rhododendron forest. And for company, you have feathered species in many hues and sizes. It’s a great destination for birders and trekkers.
Last but not the least, I would like to share a poem on Pangot very beautifully written by my 12 year old- (Shreyas Aatman) a year back.

PANGOT, a land of tranquillity-
With sky-scraping mountains, And beautiful trees,
With floating clouds, And enthusiastic wildlife. (1)

With rolling rocks,  And flooding raindrops,
With blazing sun, And ruling fog. (2)

With athletic monkeys,  And paragliding birds,
With barking deers, And escaped animals from Jim Corbett. (3)
With hard working people, And brave women,
With furry pets, And loving children. (4)

With pure air, And flowing streams,
With bright moon & stars, And dense forest trekking. (5)
With smiling big days, And silent small nights,
With mind blowing sights, And serves as nature lovers’ delight !! (6)

Here it begins…………..
